Re: ATC for January 11th… is finished and ready to be uploaded but my card reader is damaged somehow. hmm sigh.
The background are ribbons that I grunged up with inks. Too easy! hehe I found some quilting embellishments I have had for months and attached them.

I made the background by glueing purple coloured letter tiles randomly and once dry trimmed it to the 2.5×3.5in and sanded it. Next I inked it with Jim Holtz Distress Ink -frayed burlap- and darkened it with VersaMagic -midnight black-. Applied Jo Sonja’s Red Iridescent special effect over and wiped and sponged it off. Once dry I sanded it again and went over it again with Jim Holtz ink.
Found a purple flower and inked it with Jim Holtz ink to grungy it up. The heart body was an element I made Jan 8th and didn’t fit with the other ATC. The face and limbs were kept a simple black n white because of the background being so busy.

A very easy and simple ATC that came together very quickly. The background is mixed pastels applied over it and the gesso is applied over the top of that. The gesso seals the pastels and gives it this look especially if you use textured paper like Bazzill. The frame was sanded and inked.

The background paper is one I made ages ago with blue, white & gold paints with specks of water and screeded (is that a word?!) over the page with a credit card. I love how it looks in real life!
The figure template is one I made awhile back loosely based on market varieties but mine is a much fuller figure representing my body shape. hehe
The frame is 1inx1in in size. I added texture paste and painted it with smoked pearl and edged it with burnt umber. The frame insert was put through the Cuttlebug.

Collage of cats stamps I bought months ago from the post office. I painted a wash of Turquoise Iridescent over, sponged alcohol inks randomly and then grunged it by inking it with black. And since I love my cats so much I used the rub on Cherish Time with Friends on it. It seemed appropriate.
I had to take the photo on an angle so you could see the image. Photographing it front on you saw nothing because of the iridescent effect.

The background is from the shopping docket I received from that day’s shopping. Inking & distressing etc washed out the numbers so I had to get another piece of docket and this time I was more careful with the inking & distressing and as you can see it is lighter in colour. I have my butterfly wings on to make the experience go faster. hehe
